Why arch support

What Sovella does for your body

Most shoes come with a thin, flat insole. A supportive arch helps your foot work the way it should, and that is felt all the way up.

  • Aligns your body

Supporting the arch helps align your feet, which can relieve stress on your knees, hips and back.

  • Spreads pressure evenly

Instead of loading your heel and the ball of your foot, pressure is shared across the whole foot.

  • Absorbs shock

Rebounding foam layers soften every step, so standing, walking and running feel easier on your joints.

  • Cradles your heel

A deep, full heel cup keeps your heel centered and stable, a big help for heel pain and plantar fasciitis.

  • Works in shoes you own

Full-length styles fit most athletic and casual shoes. Slim 3/4 styles fit most dress shoes too.

  • Built to last

A reinforced arch keeps its shape, and you can move one pair between the shoes you wear most.

Inside a Sovella

Layered for support and comfort

Each Sovella arch support pairs a firm, supportive shell with cushioning layers. The S3500 shown here combines an antimicrobial top cover, Pro Shocks PU cushioning, a cork orthotic with a rubber core and a Poron base.

The 3/4-length dress styles use a reinforced arch, a fuller heel cup and SBR rubber foam for rebound and shock absorption in a slimmer profile.

Who it helps

Comfort for common foot pain

Sovella arch supports provide comfort for people with bunions, plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, heel spurs and other heel, arch, ball-of-foot, knee or back pain.

Arch supports are a comfort aid, not a medical treatment. For ongoing pain, follow your doctor's advice.

Arch support FAQ

Questions, answered

Which Sovella should I choose?
For athletic and casual shoes, start with the full-length S1000 (maximum support) or S3000 (comfort). Choose a "with MET" style if you feel pain in the ball of your foot. For dress shoes, the slimmer 3/4-length S2000 or S2500 fit better. Our fitters can help you choose for free.
How do I pick my size?
Full-length styles are sized by your shoe size. The 3/4 dress styles are sized in European sizes. Select your size on each product page, or have your feet measured free in any store.
Do I remove the insole that came with my shoes?
For full-length styles, usually yes, so the arch support sits flat and your shoe doesn't feel tight. The 3/4 styles are made to fit in shoes where the insole can't be removed.
Is there a break-in period?
Many people like to wear new arch supports for a few hours a day at first and build up as their feet adjust.
Can I move them between shoes?
Yes. Many customers move one pair between the shoes they wear most, or keep a pair in each.
How are these different from custom orthotics?
Sovella arch supports are ready to wear. If you need something made just for your feet, learn about custom orthotics.
