Position Summary
As a Sales Associate Level 1, you will deliver exceptional customer service, actively engaging with customers to create a positive shopping experience that supports store sales. You will develop key skills in customer focus, teamwork, process execution, and problem-solving through regular feedback and the employee scorecard, contributing to the store’s success.
Sales Associates Level 1 are expected to work toward meeting defined sales goals, maintain an email capture rate of at least 80%, and meet baseline performance levels in key metrics such as units per transaction (UPT), dollar per transaction (DPT), over-the-counter (OTC) percentage and multiple item percentage. These performance goals are tied to both individual and store success. As a commission-based role, consistent achievement of these targets is essential to maximizing earning potential. Store leadership will communicate goals and expectations regularly.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Consistently work toward meeting defined sales targets, including daily, weekly, and monthly revenue goals. Maintain an email capture rate of at least 80% and meet baseline expectations across all key performance indicators (KPIs). These metrics support your individual growth and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by consistently following the company’s service standards and structured sales process.

- Encourage customers to explore additional shopping channels, including the company website, gift cards, and social media platforms.
- Support operational excellence by ensuring the accurate receiving, transferring, and stocking of merchandise.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by ensuring displays are fully stocked, clean, and correctly priced, in line with company guidelines.
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including process summaries and opening/closing checklists.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and professional sales floor environment to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve store-wide performance goals.
- Actively seek opportunities to expand personal knowledge in sales, customer service, and pedorthic products.
Other Duties and Requirements
- Completed Phase 1 training within 90 days.
- May be required to visit area events as needed.
- May be required to go to another store from time to time, in order to help or train personnel. If needed at another location, it would not be more than 4x a month. In addition, mileage reimbursement would be given; based on the distance from their current store to the new store, minus the miles from their home to their current store.
- May be required to work on scheduled days off when short personnel or to cover Requested Days Off (RDO).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications)
- Must have 1 year of retail, customer service, or related experience preferred.
