New Balance
Every width, every mile.
New Balance started in Boston in 1906 making arch supports, and fit is still the point. It's one of the few brands that offers many styles in narrow through extra-extra-wide, which is why our fitters reach for it so often.

The New Balance difference
What makes New Balance special
New Balance began in Boston in 1906 making arch supports, and fit has been the focus ever since. It is one of the few brands that offers many of its core styles in multiple widths, from narrow to extra-extra-wide.
That means you can get the room you need without going up a size and losing support. Pair that with Fresh Foam cushioning in the 1080, stability in the 860 and classics like the 990 and 530, and it's easy to see why New Balance is one of our most-fitted brands.

Fit notes from our specialists
If you've been sizing up to fit the width of your foot, New Balance is often the fix. We'll measure length and width separately and put you in the right width rather than a longer shoe.
For all-day walking, customers love the 1080 for cushion and the 860 when they need a little more support.
New Balance questions
What widths does New Balance offer?
Depending on the style, New Balance comes in narrow, standard, wide, extra wide and beyond. Use the width filter or ask in store.
1080 or 860?
The 1080 is neutral with plush cushioning. The 860 adds stability for overpronation.
